Rising stars: Desert Cubs' Aryan and Ethan create history in Maxtalent tournament

Dubai - Aryan and Ethan shared a 344-run opening partnership in the T20 tournament

Desert Cubs DPS Dubai Centre’s Aryan Thapar and Ethan Jud Carneiro created history recently in the Maxtalent Under 11 Junior Challenge Cup at Kent College, Dubai, a press release said.

Aryan and Ethan shared a 344-run opening partnership in the T20 tournament -- the highest partnership at under 11 inter academy cricket tournaments in the UAE.

Aryan made 173 runs off 67 balls (21 fours and 11 sixes) and Ethan scored 129 runs (61 balls, 20 fours and 5 sixes) against Spring Sports Academy, Cheetah.

Inspired by the fantastic display of attacking batting by Aryan and Ethan, DCC DPS beat Spring Sports Academy, Cheetah, by 229 runs in the T20 tournament organised by Maxtalent.

Aryan was also highest scorer in the recently concluded U11 Gulf Cup, scoring 546 runs in six innings and sharing first wicket stand of 231 runs with Rishitraj Singh Rongkali in one of the matches.

Ethan, on the other hand, is one of the most promising wicketkeepers in UAE under 11 category, winning several best wicketkeeper awards in recent tournaments.

Since the age of five, both Aryan and Ethan have been training under Prosanta Chanda, the senior coach at Desert Cubs DPS Centre and one of the most decorated Level 3 ICC coaches in the UAE.
