Envisioned as one of Bahrain's most popular scenic destinations, the Dilmunia Canal project is the country's largest manmade water canal with a variety of water features, including waterfalls and dancing coloured fountains. The Dilmunia Canal development is being managed by Ithmaar Development Company (IDC). It was designed by Sogreah Gulf FZE - Artelia Group. Mohammed Khalil Alsayed, CEO of IDC, said: "We look forward to welcoming visitors and residents to Dilmunia Canal Phase 1. This development is expected to become the venue for many memorable events and a key attraction for families throughout the year."Upon completion, the Dilmunia Canal will feature a high-end retail district where visitors can enjoy shopping and dining in a vibrant community atmosphere. It provides a central link between the island's districts and is surrounded by public promenades, board-walks, event plazas, and viewing decks. Walkways and bridges are strategically located across the canal.
